why does my iphone say no sim? is there a sim card in it? yes, that's why i think there is somethingwrong. one of the first things apple suggests isto update the ios version. i wonder if that caused the problem in thefirst place.
How To Activate Iphone Using Sim Card, you could turn the phone off and then backon. that's like doing control-alt-delete witha microsoft computer. it might force the phone to reset and recognizethe sim card. would removing the sim card be enough?
if you don't put it back, then the error wouldbe valid. i've heard you could use the airplane modeto fix it. just toggle it off and back on. i could do that right before i reset it. doing a restore to factory defaults mightsolve the problem. that's one of apple's default solutions. if it is a software problem, the factory defaultsshould solve it. and restoring to factory defaults also removes all the apps that couldbe screwing it up. could i need a new sim card?
in a worse case scenario, you could get anew phone. i could try that, but it would probably altermy phone number. if in doubt, ask the genius. that implies you aren't one. i meant the guys at the apple store geniusbar. that's their on site tech support. i wish there was a simpler option. other than unplugging and plugging back inthe sim card, restarting it and refreshing the ios? i suppose you could check for a carrierupdate. i'm not changing phone companies. i have alocked in contract.
i meant checking the carrier settings foran update. go to settings, then general and then about. the phone won't normally run thoseupdates like it does for the ios.
