How To Activate Iphone Microphone Remotely, even though they don't have a hardware mute button. to begin, on your ps4 go to "settings" then on "devices" and then press on "audio devices". now if we plug in the earpods to the dualshock controller,

you will see that the microphone is also activated. to disable the microphone, first unplug the earpods and press and hold the middle button. while still holding the middle button, plug in the earpods again and keep the middle button pressed for 5 more seconds. that's it! now the microphone on the earpods is "hardware" muted. to unmute the microphone again, simply unplug the earpods and plug them back in. i hope you find this tutorial useful
