How To Animate Mask In After Effects

hi there, my name is billy and welcome toae guide. over a year ago, i created a tutorial showingyou how to make jittery text in after effects. to celebrate that video reaching 100 likes,i decided to show you my updated method. first, add the turbulent displace effect. then, set the amount and size sliders to alow value.

How To Animate Mask In After Effects, i'll go with 15. now go into the "evolution options", alt clickon the stopwatch next to "random seed". then in the expression box that pops up, type"time*" and then whatever number you want. but it has to be lower than your framerate.

and there you go. but, if you want an even easier solution,i've made a basic preset to do this. click the link in the description to downloadit. once you've installed it, drop it onto yourtext, and the default settings already look pretty good, but you can customise them. so just play around with those sliders untilit looks good. if you have multiple text layers, just dropthat preset onto an adjustment layer. but it does affect your background, so you'llhave to scale the background up. if you can't scale your background, precompyour text and adjustment layer.

and that's it. thanks for watching, and i'll see you soon.
