palestinian protesters, some of which weredressed as santa, have clashed with the israeli army near bethlehem's checkpoint. just days before christmas celebrations getunderway in the west bank, and the city referred to as the birthplace of jesus, dozens of demonstratorsgathered at bethlehem's checkpoint to protest against the separation wall to other partsof the west bank and jerusalem.
