my name is ryan buchholz. i am an internist and pediatrician, working here at upper cardozo health center in the columbia heights section of washington dc here at upper cardozo, we see a diverse patient clientele, many of whom are immigrants whose parents or ancestors came from central america or east africa we provide access to care for patients who otherwise might not be able to see a doctor. serving poor patients in no excuse for poor medical care, and we certainly try to live up to that.

How To Adopt A Navajo Child, how did i get here to upper cardozo health center? well, actually as a medical student back in ohio, i wanted to have an experience where i could work with spanish-speaking patients. i do speak spanish; i was a latin american studies major in college. and i actually got hooked up with the search program, student and resident experiences in community health,

which is a program of hrsa. that experience with the search program there lead to my service here at upper cardozo health center where i'm a member of national health service corps. we receive a great deal of support from hrsa. certainly our clientele with unity health care here is pretty great.
