How To Adopt A Child Uk

paul: we have two boys our eldest is nine-and-a-half and our youngest isfive-and-a-half graham: the eldest is bit more introverted, very thoughtful, very sensitive

How To Adopt A Child Uk, and the youngest is the complete opposite. we had a nice life before, itwas nice and calm, well-managed, we went on niceholidays, nice restaurants and so on. paul: we hadlie ins!

graham: we used to sleep in on the weekend, and you look back and, and we don't doany of that now but we don't miss it either. i've read about coram in the press, quite a while back - it was a really positive story it was a really positive story about the good work the coram was doing in a really difficult environment, so way before adoption came on to the political agenda,

kind of where it is now. paul: i think it was just really professional, the whole the whole experience we had with coram in terms with that they werevery, incredibly positive about us as adoptersgraham: they said really, really up front, really honestly, yes there will be challenges - of coursethere will - but there's no reason that those challenges should stop you adopting a family.

paul:i remember when i first came out at university and i think i was 21, i remember someone saying to me at the time, "it's a shame that you won't be a parent", and i remember sayingthen in the bar at university and saying, "actually, no, that, just because i'm gaydoesn't mean that i won't be a parent. it's a very tough thingto adopt children it's such an incredibly, rewarding thing and it changed our lives completely.
