about to welcome a new year. when his parents were not sure he would see there might have been that chance that i would be welcoming a child in losing one. in april when he was nine months old doctors found a golf size tumor in the center of his


brain. he had accidentally fallen off his changing table so his parents took him to the emergency room. the news came as they were expecting their second child. i remember having a moment of if anything, take me but do not


take him. if he had not fallen it would not have shown systems -- symptoms until it was too late the pediatric neurosurgeon knew they had to operate immediately. until now this type of brain surgery was very invasive and


potentially permanently debilitating. that he used a new noninvasive procedure called brain tap. he was only the third baby in the u.s. to undergo the procedure. he was home a couple days later.


the tumor gone. the family's gratitude immeasurable. could it have killed him? it definitely could have you see your son and you're still here. there such great technology. there are no residual


effects from the surgery and the doctor does not think the tumor will return. the parents say he loves being a big brother.
