How To Adopt A Baby Mn

♪ music plays ♪ kid connection was born in the spring of 2015, and ever since, every week, we've been trying to give kids memories that they'll never forget. withour show, i feel like we have some connections in the community with chefs or designers, chocolate companies, different kinds of companies that would be willing to offer their services to kind of mentor these kids, even if it's for

How To Adopt A Baby Mn, an hour or two. i think the great thing about thisis we get to connect kids that, you know, most kids probably haven't had these experiences, but especially these kids haven't had a lot of really, you know, amazing experiences maybe in their lives and maybe they've had some pretty

crappy ones. so i think it's nice that weget to connect them with something that's really unique. even though sometimes they kind of freeze up right at the beginning when they realize what's actually going to happen, all of asudden they might say, "oh, wait, i'm not doing this." but then kelli is such a greatinterviewer, and such a warm presence, that they end up having, really, a good time, i think, and it's, we're able to use those features to introduce children to waiting families.and they get to see them having a great time and doing something that's really fun. it's taking a subject that's tough, and it'stough for a lot of people to relate to, and

bringing it to a level that is really broadand everybody can smile about and feel good about and i think understand the need a littlebit more. before i started doing kid connection, i had no idea there were over 600 kids in minnesota that needed a family. it was heart-wrenching to know that there were that many kids that don't have a stable home environment. i just feel like it's important that people see that. as scary and as ugly and as truthful as that is, it's happening right here in minnesota. so for people to see that and say "hey, you know, that child would fit with my family," or "hey, that family who's adopted those kids, that could be me," that is so fulfilling and i really hope that a lot of people make adifference when they see these kids.

it's real important 'cause i know a lot ofpeople watch, watch this stuff. and i know a lot of people watch it and it's super importantbecause when they watch it they can find out maybe how they can get into it, and like,"hey, that's a good idea, i should adopt too." one of the really lovely benefits of it isthat it's brought much more awareness of minnesota's waiting children to the public. and so thehits on our website about individual kids and also as well about how to adopt and those kinds of things have really been ramped right up because of this. we are a family-focused show and we always say we care about this community. and i think it's one thing to say you care, it's anotherthing to actually do things. and this is an

example we can point to and say, you know, this is where we feel like we are using our air time for something really positive and good.and to get, you know, have a kid now maybe get a home because of what we've been doing for less than a year, or about a year, a year's time, is awesome.
