How To Activate Iphone With Wifi, in, is equipped with an ethernet port, andas i always travel with a mini ethernet cable, i’m able to setup a wifi hotspot on my macfor my devices, like my iphone and ipad. straight to a demo. soooooo, let's get started.

once an ethernet connection has been establishedfor your mac, creating a wifi hotspot, is a relatively easy process. simply open system preferences and click onthe sharing icon. now, if you’re logged in as a standard user,click on the padlock, where you’ll need to enter your admin user name and passwordto proceed. alternatively if logged in as an admin user,no padlock will be visible. next, click on the internet sharing option,shown here. then click on wi-fi. now click on the wi-fi options… button toconfigure your wifi hotspot.

by default, the network name, also known asyour ssid, uses your mac computer name, which you can change at anytime. i’ll change mine to macstudioa hotspot. leave channel number to whatever is shownin your case and then click on the security dropdown list and select wpa2 personal, andenter a password that you’ll need to enter when connecting your devices. once you’ve finished configuring your wifihotspot, click on the ok button to confirm. you’ll then be presented with a dropdowndialogue box to turn on internet sharing. click the start button to activate your wifihotspot.
