- as a person whose fully embraced apple's icloud you're storing all your files in the cloud. for example, here's a keynote presentation, click on the triangle next to the title and i'll choose to save it into the
How To Access Icloud Drive Files, keynote folder on my icloud drive. now, let's check to make sure it's there. go to icloud drive, open the keynote folder and sure enough, here it is.
but suppose at a later date i don't have internet access and i really need that file. fortunately a copy is stored on my mac, but it's not easy to find unless you know this trick. so hold down the option key in the finder, click on the go menu and choose library. then open the mobile documents folder. inside you'll find all the documents and folders associated with your icloud account.
open the keynote folder and here's the file. to open it all i have to do is double-click on it and i can start working on it. now, hopefully there won't be too many times that you'll need to resort to this trick, but it's nice to know that your documents are available to you when you need them.
