How Long To Boil Eggs At High Altitude

hi, this is mr. mulick for kmt chemistry, this is a short demo video on how to implode a soda can using just physical chemistry. you need to assemble the five materials seen here, let's get started. the first steps to take your emptysoda, seltzer can what have you

How Long To Boil Eggs At High Altitude, and fill it with a small amount of water. it can be distilled water, it can be tap water,it doesn't matter. you want to make sure it's only about five milliliters enoughto give you maybe a quarter to half an inch at the bottom of your soda canbecause

otherwise it's never going to heat up to boiling.once you've filled that up, you put this on a hot plate that's up to about fifty percentmaximum temperature (about 200 degrees celsius) and let it sit. now, this will take a while to get readyso if you have a lot of time hot plates will do well because they won't overheat thewater, boil it all off. if you're under time constraints you might want to use a bunsenburner; it will heat up your water more quickly, but you might boil it all off (and maybe melt your can). here we go, we've got our soda can ready. when you see a couple of wisps of steam coming out of the top of thecan (you can't really see it in this video) you're ready to go. just grab the can on thebottom,

flip it over into your ice water, and... ...the soda can implodes. thanks for watching.
