Buttermilk How To Make Buttermilk



now we're going to take our cake flour, andour salt, and we're only going to use a teaspoon of salt. now i've been cooking for a longtime, and i don't necessarily use measuring cups and things for everything. so i'm justgoing to take a little bit of salt and i'm going to add it to our flour. and you cansift the flour and the salt together, or you can just add it together here, and then dumpit in your mixing bowl. now again, i'm going


Buttermilk How To Make Buttermilk, to start this, and we're going to add it slowly.the key is to take a little bit at a time, and start to mix because the texture's goingto change. just take your time, and mix it well. don't be alarmed if the texture changes,because it's going to cream right back. so i'm going to turn up the speed just a littlebit. want to mix that for a little while.


and then we're going to add the rest. so iguess you could say we did about half and half.
